Mark & Martha Hendrickson

Mark and Martha Hendrickson, missionaries with ReachGlobal, and are co-founders of ProMETA, an online theological education program that grants master’s degrees in theology and leadership. ProMETA is a much needed Kingdom initiative that is delivered over the Internet and is totally in Spanish. Currently, ProMETA students come from 24 countries and are seasoned leaders holding important positions of leadership in their churches and communities. The average age of ProMETA students is 42. Most are all mid-career professionals, yet, if it were not for ProMETA, these leaders could not continue their education. ProMETA makes accessible online training available which enables Latin American leaders to maintain employment and continue in their ministries while they pursue a graduate-level education.

Mark is Director of Learning Systems. He oversees the training of faculty and evaluation of programs. He also serves as a professor of education. Martha, who is a trained counselor, teaches in ProMETA the area of Christian spirituality. ProMETA is one of the first seminaries in Latin America to provide an entire master’s program  at a distance. Although the Latin American church has grown significantly in recent years, leadership development has not kept pace with that growth. Making accessible training available to key leaders is one of the most strategic ways in which the North American churches and missionaries can be involved.
